What a pleasure and a joy it is for me to follow a family as they grow! I have had the pleasure of seeing all three babies in a family come into the world only a handful of times. Here's our latest triptych: Samson Holcombe Appel joins his brothers Calder and Hayes!Samson was born on November 7, 2008 at 3:46am. He weighed a whopping 9 pounds 11 ounces! Home Sweet Homebirth!

What a wonderful blog full of inspiring births. I wish I could find a midwife here in southern Indiana.
Every bone in my body tells me to deliver at home and just the thought of birthing in a hospital makes me sick. Unfortunately I am left with little choice about where to birth thanks to the laws in my state.
